Cheapo dealership....
I changed my oil yesterday (2nd change) at 7200 miles. The first oil change was done by the dealership around 3500 miles. I only went to them the first time so I was in their system. Well the oil was like water which is normal but then I get to the oil filter, and I see "Napa" on it. WTF! A Nissan dealership using Napa oil filters rather than a genuine Nissan oil filter??? Makes me wonder what kind of oil they used. So I put in the best oil for the car, Mobil1 full synthetic along with the Mobil1 oil filter. Fyi, for those who get their oil changed at the dealership..beware
Had to vent

It's how they save money on the free oil change coupons. And if I'm not mistaken, I think NAPA uses Wix filters. (thats a good filter btw)
I can say that we use Mopar filters for all Chryslers that come in. If we get an off brand that may roll in we use whatever we can get.
If you think dealerships suck for a simple oil change, then I would stick with Oil Can Henrys, they are experts in oil changes for all car lines and only use top quality oil and filters.

I usually do the oil changes myself, but had a coupon to get the first oil change at a discount. I just thought it was weird to see a Napa oil filter put on from a Nissan dealership
DIY ftw!

^ x2... Buy a case of OEM oil filters and get the larger 5 gallon bottles of oil from walmart. Save the left over to top it off every now and then as needed.

I think walmart should have its own dealership and real estate offices. That way we can can pretty much buy anything and everything at walmart. A one stop shop!

when i worked at dealerships, (many various makes) we always used mopar/acdelco/motorcraft/whatever on the cars we specialized in. We never used a napa filter unless a nissan came into ford or something...
okay
