I hear NAPA sells it, although i have not confirmed it. I'm going to start running royal purple also, i hear it can eliminate my lifter tick.

its not true todds90.. what gets rid of lifter tick is a lil diesel in your crankcase. cleans it up and buffers moving parts!

If you're a familiar face to them, they will treat you well.
NEVER call them, they will put you on hold for years.

Well another guy with a 1g on the DSM board had the same problem with lifter tick tripping the knock sensor and he switched to Royal purple and never had the problem again...

hmm.. i find it wierd to believe just by changing oils it would stop the noise. Maybe he got some thicker oil? if there is ticking, that would mean that there is 1) too much space between the two items or 2) oil viscosity is too low and isnt coating the valve train. right? im just thinking about this..

yes, changing oil can stop the noise. some oils do a better job of coating engine parts and can adhere to metal better. the only other options is to get the revised lifters which have a 3mm oil passage
