Default Evil Excuse Needed

I drive a 2001 Nissan Froniter for work, its a decent ride, but after years of service, it really needs to be replaced. I spoke with the office about replacing it and of course was shot down immediately by the All-Might Beancounters.

So lastnight I ran into this guy from the office (not a beancounter), and after about the 3rd pitcher, he said something bad has to happen to it. Some kind of "mechanical" failure, (not accident damage) so, that even though it can be fixed, it will effect the life of the vechile. Im not talking about something minor, like brakes, were talking about something that when you tell a mechanic what happened, he cringes in fear.

I know a lot of you have the car knowlegde im looking for, so please, if anyone has any ideas, I just need to know the magic phrase, and I'll be able to push this through.

sugar gets caught up in the filters...too much effort to put diesel in it as the pump nozzles wont fit, and water just hydrolocks the motor, at which point they will replace it with a new motor, essentially extending the life of it.

word of advice, dont try to pull an insurance claim by putting hose/faucet water into your intake, the insurance company tests when your block is torn down for inspection, if they dont find the proper "rain" polutants they are looking for, then your going to get slapped with a fraud charge.

I'd wait a few weeks to do this whatever you do. That way they won't suspect you did it. But I'd go with the oil. Do that, then put like a 1-2 quarts back in it and say that whoever changed the oil didn't put enough or something...

seriously though, we are in florida...just get on the interstate and you should have no problem with tweaking the frame in a week or so. just remember to stay in blind spots, especially when there is merging traffic.
