seat belt/probable cause/regardless of what you heard: read up on it

Folks, I asked this question to someone in law enforcement to clarify
a question/misconception of people who don't read the laws.........-Bob

Re: legal question
I am in Florida, and as far as probable cause for a seat belt stop..here it is a secondary offense, meaning you would need to break some other violation in order to stopped..

and my compliments on your courage in admitting
you might be available for legal opinions from a law enforcement point of view.

thats great but a cop can find some other non secondary bullshit law to pull you over and then fine you for not having a seatbelt. He can pull you over for going 1mph over the speed limit and then get you for seatbelt.
