New glasspack muffler - just went straight with it and made a side exit.

Most aftermarket exhausts sound like dog diarrhea on V6's... especially the F Bodies... BAAARF, they sound like high pitched raspy tin cans... my Grand Prix has the 3.8 w/ duals that sounds pretty good, not loud but man I'd be afraid to throw some new cans on there...

Scott,
That's not a bad fab job. Thanks for the pics.
Should those who criticize the sound, actually listen to it first?
----------
For those discussing sound.....
Sometime back I made a Corvette-looking side pipe for a
straight six. Put two glass packs inside it. Looked mean, sounded mean.
As you drove over an interstate overpass, it would rattle your
eardrums, (no joke) but after some sound testing, I made a sound
dissipator, and a lightweight aluminum heat shield to get the heat away from the rear tire.............blew a tire on a Georgia interstate followed
by a spin, while learning THAT lesson.

Worst problem was that I had to use stainless pipe at the front
going into it because the flames coming down the pipe would
oxidize the regular steel into a hokey-looking yellow!

But then I understood why the Corvette Gran Sports that ran
Sebring had their racing side pipes painted yellow. -Bob

The best part is he has his mods listed in his sig, and they are only a head unit and the glass packs.
