300rwhp+...frankly I agree with you. But some kids arent so fortunate, I've known kids to get stuck with V6 powered mustangs/camaros and stuff because there parents are very strict. So I dont know this kid and thats safe to assume. but i never said anything wrong about him in the first place so whats the difference
he had the oppurtunity to get a different car. at the time, i was swaying him towards 240's but he chose to get a v6 firechicken instead.

and yea, PIIMB did just quote himself and agree to it.

In all fairness, V6 Firechicken > 240sx. Looks better, handles better, goes faster.

but at the end of the day, a modified 240>v6 firechicken seeing as how the 240 can be modded with the same amount of cash he payed for the stock v6 firechicken.

cheap 240: $1200
coilovers: $800
wheels: $500 (depends on wheels)
and then from there you can do i/h/e for cheap with the KA or go sr and your car is much nicer then the v6 firechicken

go fast:
sr: $2500 or so just depends

i personally wont be buying another 240 anytime soon nor do i really want one, just so it does seem like im being a fanboy.

$1200 is not going to buy a nice 240

photek sold his for $1500 with strut spring combo, all the strut bars and braces, and a KA that was running amazing for its age. Believe me if you know who to buy from, they are quite easy to find.

dont take this as a domestic vs. import thing, take it as any car vs. v6 firechicken gayness

I don't think there's any way for a 240sx to match up to a 4th? gen Firebird's looks. With that said, its ALWAYS possible to take a cheaper car, dump some money into it, and have it outpreform a more expensive car. Hell, I think myltwon runs like 11s...I'm spending maybe 8k on my Mustang (including the car) and shooting for 9s...

Just stock for stock here. If you put the two cars in front of my I'd pick the v6 Firechicken.

Looks are mostly subjective, though. There's no way to prove the Firechicken looks better or worse than anything else.
