JDM Addiction - Ocala - Any Experiences?

I was wondering if anyone had dealings with this shop for motorsets, clips, or general work on their car.

Yeh man he does good work ive had a good amount of my friends get swaps done there. Ive seen him do from Gsr swaps in civics to Rb 25's in 240's, hes had a few skyrines hes worked on and a pulsar. I believe hes doing a H22 in an Eg right now and Swapping an Rx-8. I havent had any motor work done yet but i try and buy most of my parts there such as strut bars and and steering wheels and just misc. parts. Hes a great guy to deal with.

Yeh eric is the guy that runs the shop. Only like him and one other guy work there. I actually just saw him at sams club like two hours ago and he said theres a new shipment comin in mid way through next month, so you might want to wait until then to get a motor, he might have something youd rather have in there.

They did a gsr swap into my civic. turned out really nice. he checks all motors before they go out.

i purchased an h22a motor for my 93 civic from jdm addiction; i live locally in ocala so finding someone that was certified to due the work the needed to be done to process the swap correctly took some time; i eventually found b & m automotive; they are licensed, certified mechanics. i took them several weeks to complete the swap because the motor needed quite a few extra parts to complete the swap; well the swap went accordingly and fit in the car perfectly; when my boyfriend went to drive the car home; it blew a rod; clear through the front of the motor. i contacted jdm and showed them the pictures from where the rod is sticking out of the front the motor they told me that because it was out of the 30 day guarantee that there was nothing they could do for. i explained that i understood what a warranty was for but they sold a crappy product. apparantly my installer and jdm have had several issues with one another and jdm tried to tell me that it was not there fault that my installer probably didn't connect something internally in the motor. when i explained to them that all the did was the install and nothing with the motor then they said they must have wired something wrong and that is what caused it to blow a head. i may be a female but i grew up around cars and they are basically screwing me around. i spent well over $4,000 on this swap and they said o'well. i tried to make a deal with them that i would but a new motor; then they could install it for me and give me half of what i paid for the other one back and they said no. as a company i think that they have horrible customer service. you should always do what is right by your customer and they don't even want to make a deal. i give them a big fat F. proceed with caution

I had a similar experience and found out the hard way that they don't usually compression check the engines (unless someone reports a problem) and did not have good luck when it came to customer service.

They lost me as a customer a while ago and there is no way I would recommend them to anyone that I consider a friend, but that is only my opinion.

It looks like a few people had some good experiences, so who knows...
