WTF, My Rhino Ramp Shattered Into Pieces
ok, this is the 2nd set of Rhino Ramps i've owned and IMO they are the biggest pieces of shit. On my first set the sides buckled out, and on this set as I drove the car up to the top, I get to the top and BAM, the motherfucking ramp on the drivers side shatters! The car falls, my foot slips off the clutch and the car bucks forward going over the passenger side one. Now my side skirts, skirt weather stripping and passenger 1/4 panel are fucked up. The passenger ramp held up through all this, not a scratch on it. That's how it they SHOULD'VE been made.
The ramp literally blew into 4 or 5 pieces, I took some pics at Advance Auto Parts before I gave them back. There are tones of air bubbles in the little cross sections that sheared, so hopefully i'll get them to pay for the damages to my car. I called Blitz 3 times today and there was no answer, or call back, funny since I called the customer support line.Last edited by 2TurboImports; 01-09-2009 at 11:55 PM.

I'm going to head down to Advance tomorrow to see if I can get a few more pics, I didn't realize how blurry these were until I got them off the camera.

01-21-2006 01:43 AM #6I know, right!! I always put something near the jack when I jack the car up, like a tire, but you kinda cant do that with the ramps.

Thats fucking garbage man. Probably the most fucked up thing I've seen in a long time.
I have a pair of ramps because I didn't feel 100% with just jackstands, if a guy at work wouldn't have had an old metal set he was willing to part with I'd have got a set of those.
I've spent about 10 hours under my car just the last week all alone in my garage, have one of those fail and my f'king chest would be the next obstacle for the chasis on the way to the floor.
Those pics should find thier way around the internet fast, thats fucked up."They must really feed each other to the lions down there........"

Tell us what advance this is so that we can call them and tell them that we will go elsewhere for parts and supplies if they do not fix this situation for you. I want to at least let them know that I will think twice about purchasing stuff from them, because they are unable to provide me with safe ways to work on my car. They should have never sold these in the first place.
oh yeah, dont forget to talk to a lawyer. You should fight for some money and to have these kinds of ramps banned. Someone could die if this problem is not handled properly.

I don't like lawsuits, but if they don't show at least some interest in responding to your calls, sue the bastards to get their attention. That kind of failure could kill somebody.

I use these ramps and I am on the same set I've owned for 6 years. I've never had a problem with them but i will use jackstands as well now.

HOLY SHIT.... I had a 2006 Corvette on some Rhino Ramps about 3 weeks ago. Had to install the 'skip shift' eliminator... Now I'm scared shitless....
Think you can re-create this? If so...let's go break another set. I want a new car too. <---dead freaking sserious...

Damn! I had my old WRX up on those same ramps more than 10 times while doing/redoing an uppipe and several oil changes. I didn't know that I was cheating death at the same time! Looks like I've got some space opening up in the corner of my garage now.
