Marks 2008 STI-362whp
Mark recently brought us his 2008 STI. He brought the car to another shop for a tune after having the Subaru dealership build his motor with Crawford components, and installing a variety of Perrin Performance parts.
He felt the car didnt have too much mid-range punch and no top end power.
Mods included:
Built motor
Perrin Rotated GT35R kit
Perrin fuel system
Perrin exhaust
Perrin FMIC
and more
Mark was using the stock header as the dealer did not know where to get an aftermarket one they told him.
We strapped the car to the dyno and did a baseline pull.
The car managed 352whp and 298 tq. That seems quiet low. This was sitting at 19.9 psi.
After checking things out we noticed he was running a stock size MAF. Unfortunately, this was hindering him ALOT with the amount of boost.
After changing a few things using Cobb protuner, I managed to gain a 30hp difference from the 5k to 6k region. Peak power was only about a 10whp gain seeing I actually turned DOWN the boost because the Maf was MAXED.
He is returning this week for a custom header, larger Maf, and a Walbro fuel pump.

Needs a SA.....bye bye MAF hello s-density.
Nice regardless.....350 on a Stang isn't nothing to frown at.Drunmann Tuning's Scoob: Very slow, not built, not cammed, not bore'd, stock turbo.
