Ran the ole' bucket on 30lbs of boost for the first time....
Dumped in some regular ole' 114 octane, backed the timing out pretty low, and took the ole' Mustang for a stroll this morning. The second time it has been out in three years.
The most boost I ever ran before was 19lbs.. Today I hit 30.10 lbs of boost and all of the gauges read really well (egt, a/f, etc. ). To say it was retarded on the street with old dr's is an understatement. It sung like a bird to 7,600 rpms.
Hopefully will get to the track this winter now that life has slowed down, good, and is back to normal. Of course I'll have to get some new slicks because mine are toast from sitting so long. Not sure what 30 lbs will get me at the track and if the C4 will even handle it. But I figure 21lbs will get me my eight second run that I should have just went out and got five years ago with a twist of the boost controller knob. I shouldn't have taken the sneek up on it route.
Funny thing is it just started up after I checked the timing and ran like a champ with no adjustments.
See you around....

Yes sir, crappy old carb kept up with it too !
12.9 - 12.50 afr on the gauge the whole time.
I shudder to think what it would run at this level given the turbo is in its effeciency range at this level where as the 19lbs I ran it at before at the track wasn't even in the sweet spot.

No doubt but if / when I nuke the C4 I am not going to be in much of a hurry to go drop a bunch of coin on a trans any time soon. We just purchased a pretty good sized short sale home and are putting all the extra coin in it for the forseeable future.
I am backing it off the 30lbs, I just wanted to see if it would go their as easily as my engine builder said it would years ago. I'll jump it up from the 19lbs though that got me my current best et to 25 lbs or so. The hp gain from 19 to 25lbs is massive as compared to going from 15lbs to 19 lbs. It'll be fun. Best of all it is still completely street legal and without a bunch of trick suspension shit.

Oh man I can hear the chickens clucking from here.
306 ci built R block.
Edelbrock Performer RPM heads that have been worked but still have under 2" valves. Certainly nothing fancy but I have had them forever so I kept them.
Motorsport F Roller Cam
82mm GT47
Twin Tial wastegates.
C & S Carb 1050 cfm
On 14lbs of boost it put down 731 rwhp and 876 rwhp on VP 110 with no additives. And it was not some peaky Supra dyno graph either.
