I had contacted "Tony" (I guess his name is Tony) about a reclining chair that I have. It's motorized and assists you in getting up. A friend of mine gave it to me for my mom, (who is now in a nursing home) I won't sell it, because I just don't think that is right, but if Tony needs it, he can have it, if you think it will help him. I've PM'd him, but obviously he can't answer those.

First off, Rob, I just PM'd you about the chair.

I apologize abou thet lack of updates but I've been in and out of the hospital for thee last month or so and I just couldn't keep up. I wrote a novella this morning for an update and then the board said I didn't have premission to post. So here are the Cliff notes.

1.Largo Med did the emergency work/surgery to get a stint installed in my bile duct.

2.can't do surgery because the main artery I would need for the Whipple Procedure was too involved with the tumor so we woud have to do chemo to free the artery up.

3.Transferred my base of operations to Tampa General a week or two later because I crashed and had high temps juandiced again etc. The stint was clogged. They pulled it and installed another. It clogged after about a week. They tried to change it but couldn't even get it out...too much pressure from the tumor.they installed a drain thru my side as a stopgap measure. They said they would have to do major surgery to get it changed out for a larger metal stint and recovery would be 4-6 weeks before I could start my chemo. I told them to forget it. I was only going to do one major surgery and that was the Whipple, otherwise forget it. They said the only alternative was to call in Hospice. I told them to make the call. Next day, however they had devised a plan to go through the drain in my side to try and change it. Somehow, that worked and I started setting up the chemo 3 days later.

4. Since then, I've been into the ER twice, last time was Saturday because my temperature was 103.2 The time before was for vomiting and I hadn't even started chemo.

5. I'm still here, on chemo and feeling like 10 lbs of shit cramed into a 5lb bag.

Just came upon this thread. Sorry to hear about your unfortunate predicament. Here I am worrying about small life issues and random bullshit when other people have bigger issues to deal with and probably wish they were in my shoes. I will pray that God gives you the strength to knock this cancer flat on it's ass. Hang in there and try to stay positive.

Thanks for the kind words but one thing I have learned in life is that no matter how bad off you might be, there are a lot of people who are worse off. Money is flying out of mysavings account like bats out of a cave but my nose is still above water. So, I'm thankful for what I do have and for my good friends and family.
