That's amazing really, I'm old enough to remember when Garlits went 200mph with his top fueler, and was alive (as a kid) when the 150 mark was broken. The speeds are incredible for basically a s"stock" type car.

The technology of today is something else. Back in the early 80's I had a 11:1 302, toploader, solid lifter cammed, 411 geared 65 Mustang and it would be lucky to run low 13's. Now I have a car that idles better, can be driven for distance, and light years ahead on power numbers. Funny that in todays environment a 8 sec, 9 sec car is all over the place on the net.

The True Street class I run all I need is consistant 1.4's. That should be doable with the stock suspension. As the track goes away when 70 cars with regular tires go down the track.. I think that a larger tire would be a benefit, tho having a GT body dont think I can go much larger. The guy that won fastest last year ran the 325/50 and ran 1.4 60 foots with an 8.0 average. Everyone that tried for a 1.3 blew the tires away. I ran a 1.56 on my third pass. hard to make ET as the track goes away.
Here's a question.. will a double adjustable shock setup help with a non-prepped track?NEW Machine
