picked up a new car today 94 cobra - Page 2

thanks for the props guys. im not sure whos old car it is. i just know that he was like a 20 y/o and now has an 03 cobra.

im not sure what kinda power it will put down. the kid the owned it said it made like 260/330 or something.

when i start modding it will get Afr 165's some custom cam. and then a turbo kit or and s-trim all depends on money you know.

If you run it at all, it will soon. Second gear synchros ALWAYS go out on those.

yeah if you dont know how to drive, it will or if the clutch isnt adjusted right it will. but other then that it will be fine. they do go bad just not the way you are making it sound. like its just going to go out tomorrow or something.

ive owned more 5 liter cars compared to the amount of cars someone will own in there life time.

Well, ask any shop owner who works on mustangs a lot. The t-5 goes out more than any other transmission out there. I have a 95 Cobra currently. 2nd and 3rd were going out when I bought it. And considering the fact that I only drive mustangs(with the exception of my daughters BMW on occasion) I would say that I am in the same boat as you. Of course...I usually drive autos.

The cobra was only my 4th stick. When I said "if you run it at all", I mean if you race it at all and powershift. If you do, 2nd gear is going bye-bye....and it will soon. If you granny shift it, then you will be alright for about another 40,000 miles....maybe more.

I've seen that car on Autotrader for a few months.

Clean car. But the tan interior steered me away. Still a beautiful car.
