Hood scoop isn't original. I don't even think it came with a 390 unless special ordered wich I don't think is the case. Rims aren't original, 351c isn't original, im sure half the stuff on it isn't original. Some original 428CJ Mach 1's don't go for that much.

69 Mach1 only came one of 2 ways,.. 351 windsor (with FMX tranny) or 428CJ motor,.. only option was single (CJ) or duel carbs (SCJ). And came with 4 spd only. Rear end was a 9 inch,.. but had various gear options. Most had 3.73 and the drag pack option with 3.91.

390 I think dropped out of production in 67 or 68. If had the original motor then might get $50k. But with a later model M series motor (Clevlend) its not worth that much. $30 - $35k for someone who really wants it. Else $20 - $25k if the body is rust free.

Or the guy is an idiot,.. because 390 heads bolt to 428 motors and vice versa,.. and someone suckered him out of a 428 motor. Mach1 body with the side scoops. But 69 Mach1 had the entire rear tail light area flat black like the spoiler, hood and chin spoiler should be. That hood is not a Mach1 hood either. Scoop was smaller and missing the hood pins.

I'd rather have the Cleveland over the 390 any day

No way,.. 390 will run. 390 with SC heads and a 150 shot will out perform a 351c any day of the week. My father inlaw and I ran a 67 Fairlane GT390 to low 11's NA with a 390 and C6. He wouldnt spray it. 351c was ok,.. but I'd rather have the cubes.
