Not to stir the pot any but the passes i saw of 91notch it was BLOWING the tires off all through first gear. i did not see any of the passes later in the evening though.

91notch. how much air pressure was in the slicks? i didnt see much wrinkle at all.

LS1coupe, he was running somewhere near 10-11 i think. An he did have a lot of timing pulled out, but i think he needs a bigger pill in the 2 step, He was only on a 4k pill if i reamember correctly.

I ordered a 2 step today for next time. It will be getting tuned next week, an if that doesnt help any its all for sale, an i will put a carb on it. I can promise you that.

We had the 2 step set as low as possible with the pills I had with me. The 2 step was set at 3k. As for the tire pressure iwinulose is right we where hanging around the 10 to 12 ish range.

Maybe I can help clarify a little bit of what is going on with 91notch's car.

I recorded a total of 4 passes that evening, each getting progressively better, 60' wise. The pass you see on video was the LAST pass of the night, see below for an explanation.

The first pass I recorded that night, the tires definitely spun. It was VERY evident in the log, and easy enough to see.

For the remaining passes, we gradually brought the 2step down, aired down the tires, and I pulled a lot of bottom end timing. The last pass, on video, the car did hook, but it actually bogged after the clutch dumped, because I pulled too much timing, and slowed it down. It doesn't seem so obvious on video, but in person, it was evident in the tone of the motor.

So, yes, on video, his car dead hooked, but it was far from optimal.

Based on the information we collected that night, we have a plan for what to do, and next week, we will see if our efforts pay off.

......to be continued

Hopefully involves a efi / carb swap . That will cure a lot

EFI/carb swap = expensive.......and the only reason I haven't dont it yet! Plus, the car rely's on too many of those wires to function the A/C and be a decent daily driver for me to cut any of em....right now.

IDK about your car but on my 28x10 hoosiers 10 is a flat ass dead fugger and 12 I get tire spin. I find that 11-11.5 lbs works absoloute best for me

No cutting involed. As far as cost if you have aftermarket efi parts to sell, conversion will put money in your pocket

Thats just it...I don't like to sell the EFI parts...The govt may require it after a while. LOL Actually, the EFI parts are part of the whole package, and I'm kinda a pack rat...It would cost me a MINIMUM of around $600 IIRC to do it w/o selling any parts.
