John, it used to leave like a Pro Stock. it is a Pro Stock. LOL There's just something going on in the rear and Stroupe can sort all that out. We've moved the 4 link, moved the wheelie bars, changed the ride height.

It was to me, too. That's why I had to part it out when it blew up. There was no way I was dumping that much back into it. I worked 60 hour weeks @ $5.75 an hour in a friggin warehouse to build that car.

It idled fine. It was finally going to the track...Donald made a test pass out on 39 before we were going to load up. I don't remember if I heard it or not, but when he got back, it wasn't running right. Took it apart and the heads were messed up, valves were shot, pistons were shot..I only paid $3500 for the whole motor, and it would have close to that just to fix it. So I parted it all out.
A friend of ours has the car now. Actually, I think we're all going to Lakeland tonight with it. |
