Ok where is the logic in this??

3 MEN GO INTO A MOTEL. THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK SAID THE ROOM IS $30 SO
EACHMAN PAID $10 AND WENT TO THE ROOM.

A WHILE LATER THE MAN BEHIND THE DESK REALIZED THE ROOM WAS ONLY $25,
SO HE SENT THE BELLBOY TO THE 3 GUYS' ROOM WITH $5.

ON THE WAY THE BELLBOY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO SPLIT $5
EVENLY BETWEEN 3 MEN, SO HE GAVE EACH MAN $1 AND KEPT THE OTHER $2 FOR
HIMSELF.

THIS MEANT THAT THE 3 MEN EACH PAID $9 FOR THE ROOM, WHICH IS A
TOTAL OF$27, ADD THE $2 THAT THE BELLBOY KEPT = $29.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE OTHER DOLLAR?

This has pissed me off tonight

9 x 3 = 27 not 28.

so after the $5 refund the room was $25

5 - 3 = 2 (bus boy kept)

^ 3 one each.

They didn't pay 27 bucks for the room. They paid 25. The the bellboy brought them 3 dollars back. 25 + 3 = 28. The bell boy kept 2. 28 + 2 = 30. Thats all i can come up with. lol

Wrote this shit out bitches....It makes sence as long as you do the math without multiplying the 9. No idea how this works but it does make sence.


10+10+10= 30-5=25+3=28+2(The bell hop kept)=30 But yeah, this 3X9 shit is still fucking my day up lol. I feel like such a tard now.


By no means a math whiz or anything but is it possible that this is strictly a sequence problem? Because it's very possible to find the correct answer in numorous ways you just have to go about in the right manner.

well Math does not own me!! I am very good at math thank you all, its the lodgic of the question that fucks you up. each guy spends 9 total at the hotel out 27. You just dont add the bell boys money, the numbers always made sence the lodgic didn't.

Hmm, maybe i'm still rocking tard status. But 3 +27=30 But the bellhop has two of the dollars initially involved thus you now having more money then you started with...Am i wrong or do i just need more sleep.
