WTF..forget Iraq! China's trying to kill us!

They're trying to kill us, our pets, and our kids!

Yet another toy recall...TBO.com - News From AP

Quote:
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- Toys "R" Us is recalling thousands of art sets made in China due to excessive levels of lead in some black watercolor paints.

Wayne-based Toys "R" Us Inc. and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall Thursday, saying printed ink on the packaging of the Imaginarium Wooden Coloring Cases also contained lead. They said no injuries have been reported.

"Toys "R" Us has terminated its relationship with Funtastic, effective immediately," the company said in a statement.

Toys "R" Us bought the sets from Funtastic, a unit of a Hong Kong distribution company called FPL Group. They are manufactured by a company in Ningbo, China, called Danxiang International Trading.

The 213-item set contains crayons, pastels, colored pencils, fiber pens, water colors, a palette and other art supplies in a wooden carrying case.

Childhood exposure to lead can lead to reduced intelligence, hyperactivity and attention deficit disorder, research has shown.

Earlier this month, Toys "R" Us removed about 160,000 vinyl baby bibs from its Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us stores, as well as its warehouses, as a precaution after two bibs made in China for one supplier showed lead levels that exceeded company standards.

I found out why they're trying to kill us.

Why it's important to understand English

I had a bunch of Canadian dollars I needed to exchange, so I went to
the currency exchange window at the local bank.

Just one lady in front of me, an Asian lady who was trying to
exchange yen for dollars and she was a little irritated . . .

She asked the teller, "Why it change?? Yesterday, I get two hunat
dolla fo yen. Today I get hunat eighty?? Why it change?"

The teller shrugged his shoulders and said, "Fluctuations".

The Asian lady says, "Fluc you white people, too!"

Find out where the product is made and pay the extra few dollars for a domestic piece/part. I have returned parts that had the M.I.C. logo on them and paid a higher price for a domestic part. I don't care about the extra cost because it is becomming a "principle" thing and not a "cheapest" thing.

I know this has nothing to do with childrens toys but it is the same aspect on the quality of imported goods from that country. They are not our friend, they're pissed because of Taiwan. It is a love/hate relationship.

Lead was widely used for thousands of years, we only started to reduce our use of lead in the last 30 years. Anyone born before 1976 was exposed to large amounts of lead, from paint, water, and in large densities of cars, the air. Even those born after 1976 were still exposed to lead due to the nasty habit lead has of sticking around. ell my mom impaled her leg on a picket fence in the early 70s, the wound was full of paint chips that undoubtly contained lead

Anybody see Raising Helen? I love the part where her sister, Jenny, tells the kids not to chew on the window sills. Helen's says, "Yes! Chew on the table legs, like I taught you!"

Hmmm, wonder why we dont just manufacture this nicky nacky kind of shit in the US...oh ya ya, its too expensive...

XYZ toy company can have this crap made in China for a few pennies, ship it across the pacific, truck it around all over the US to Wal Marts everywhere and still make out better than they could if they employed American workers who work and support families right here in the good ol' U S of A...

WTF is wrong with this picture? And why isn't it making more people smoking mad!?!?! YOU have about 431 days to figure out who's got the balls to finally do whats right, turn away the donations, be there own MAN and actually help us...decide carefully...

another reason we have manufacturing in China is due to environmental and workplace regulation. alot of what we manufacture in China could not be done in the U.S. because of the damage to the environment and to the workers. And without OSHA there is almost no safety which allows us to use manufacturing process that would be illegal here
