Hey everybody, I'm Josh. I was born in the Tampa Bay Area and lived here until 2014, when I moved to Orlando. I just recently, however, moved back to Tampa and I'm looking forward to getting into the Tampa car scene. I was a TR member before I left Tampa but never posted my first introduction post so I'm making up for that now. I drive a 2005 Honda Civic 2dr that I painted white from it's original black, lowered it on 17x8.5" mesh wheels with 215/45r17 shoes. The front end has a set of yellow fog lights, 6000K hid lows, Amber corner bulbs, and stock halogen highs as well as a OEM lip which is still in need of paint. I also have type A side skirts that are in need of paint and amber side markers that are ready to go in. As far as performance goes I am on my stock motor until I piece together all the parts necessary for a K24a2 swap so my only major performance and handling mods are a gutted rear end for weight reduction and full coilovers for cornering and body roll improvements. For Interior I plan on putting in laminate flooring for my trunk setup as well as a single 12" subwoofer. I currently have corbeau bucket seats and 5 point harnesses setup as well as a deep well wheel and quick release and plan on improving both until I'm satisfied with the driving feel. I'm currently in the process of getting materials to build a 4 point cage for the rear of my car for chassis stiffness. My next goal is to autocross my car once I get it able to pass tech and I'll keep building it for power once I get more track experience.

Last weekend Next Gen Tuning had a cookout/BBQ on Sunday in Clearwater,

Tampa Racing.com was founded on the principles of encouraging restoration, repair or modification of special interest vehicles. Over 102,500+ members strong, Tampa Racing has no national affiliation, but you will likely find its members among any number of automotive organizations including the National Street Rod Association, Mustang Club of America, Goodguys, Florida Mopar Association, Corvette Club of America, to name a few. The type of vehicles found amongst the members varies from restored early 1900's vintage automobiles, to street rods from the 30’s and 40’s, to muscle cars from the 60’s and 70’s, to present day front-wheel-drive imports and motorcycles. The shows are perhaps the most popular venue for many of the members who engage in showing their cars at almost every opportunity. Tampa Racing also co-sponsors and/or supports select charity car shows, community events. This is a way of giving back to the local communities.

The Tampa car scene has changed, but on Tampa Racing you will always be a member of the family whether at a cruise night, car meet or on the highway. And remember life is good friends, a clean ride, and the open road in front of you.
