I am John Campbell; I am 68 years old and live in Sun City Center. Sad as that might sound, I am still an avid fan of road racing. Before moving here, I was on the Board of the SCCA Cincinnati region. I worked as safety steward for the Solo II program and worked as pit Marshall for road races ...mostly at Mid Ohio.
I have 2014 Shelby GTS.
Getting tired of playing golf and would like to get back in to racing in some way again.

This is kinda like AA " Hi. I'm John and I like road racing."

John,
Welcome to Tampa Racing .com . In the last 10 days 25 people joined Tampa Racing.
You were one of them.
I'm a road course guy also.
The straight-liners and wanna-be street racers are on some other site. lol
I'm sure they will be telling you what they don't like about Tampa Racing.

There are a lot of car meets around here. That is how you get to meet people.
Some days on the Tampa Racing calendar there are 30+ events listed.
https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/calendar.php

Roamin' Oldies and High Rollers have cruise-in meets down near you.
I go to everything, including the hot rod and bike meets. Most popular are the import meets.
I have never been thrown out no matter what I'm driving that day.
If all you want to do is hang out with the SCCA around here, I can send you that way too.

Most popular around Tampa Racing 's area are the import meets.
We had 4,000 cars at the last Orlando meet before we outgrew the place.
There will be 2,000 cars at another meet later this year.
Daytona has 5,000 marked spaces (all kinds of cars) and plenty of people
don't park in a marked spot.
There will be a Woodward Avenue-style cruise in Daytona later this year.

I don't care about a car person's age as long as they are not a jerk.
I like hanging out with people in a good mood and the cruisein's/meets I go to
have people in a better mood than football games where they want trouble.
I went to a cookout/car meet this weekend at Lake Seminole in Pinellas County.
Pictures will be up under Event Coverage later.

You can post some pictures of your car and tell us a bit about it at:
