engine is torn down and we are still in the quoting process on what we are going to do. there probably won't be that much development with this progress for a couple weeks. i'll keep posting up pictures as i get them, but it will be a while. and yes, the customer is aware of the timeline.
the head gasket was blown and two of the ring packs were lined up. besides that, the engine was in pretty good shape. depending on the bill, were going to probably go ahead are re-do the piston combo and stick with a stock head gasket thickness. we are also most likely going to re-sleeve the block and put a smaller piston in to keep a little beef on the cylinder walls. as or right now the finish bore on the sleeves is a touch over 85mm. we'll probably go with a 83mm sleeve and punch it out to a 83.5mm piston. little less displacement, but i don't think anyone is worried about torque and power. antonio will be building the engine from the ground up. before a 3mm headgasket was added to compensate for the 11.5:1 compression. the engine was originally built for nitrous. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
