Help with my b series

i got a eg with a b16a2... It was running great and everything but last night i was driving on the interstate in the pouring rain and the check engine light came on! My car started to bog down.. Like the motor lost power or something, and if i pushed the clutch in it would die.. Then when i did get it started check engine light was still on and i had to accelerate at low rpms, if i went past 3k it would sputter back down,

I tried the paperclip to check why the light came on, if i find the code i find my problem.. only problem is when i turn the key the check engine light doesnt blink like its supposed to, it just stays on and i hear the car prime itsself a couple times.. Also when it does start now my belts make a squeeling noise..

I did notice that somehow the ecu wires plugged into it were kinda wet... How can i find out why my check engine light came on..
