HIN Night Shift End Review and Recap
Driven Concepts attended our first 'real car show' last night since opening our doors. I must say, for not having any experience, I think Driven Concepts did DAMN good!
I want to start by saying thank you to every DC employee, there's absolutely no way Alex and I could have done this without you all. Clint, Cody, Jake, Jay, Jesse, John, Kirk, and Randy (Alpha order, so don't bitch), you guys rocked, thank you for staying late, letting me us your vehicles, setting up HIN, tearing down HIN, etc!!!!!!!!! We are going through some growing pains as we have recently gone through some 'growing' up stages, but I think we will evolve into a bulletproof team once everyone gets to know each other. DC supporters - THANK YOU! Just to name a VERY few, Mike W, Chris W, Josh B, Tito, Daniel and family, Mike N, etc................. You guys are what makes DC, thank you all very much for the support! We had nine cars in attendance, a car that dynoed, a car that drifted, a booth, three hot girls walking around, and then a HUGE crowd of DC supporters! We were not able to bring home any awards, but I can say hands down that Driven Concepts attracted the most attention at the show. HIN organizers were good to us and placed us dead center of everything and gave DC ones of the biggest booth area available. I think we caught the attention of the show! Mark's 510 caught EVERYONE's attention, it was one of the most asked about vehicle we had out there. The 'JLine' black s14 with the Origin-Lab body kit was displayed under the Black Magic booth as one of their showcars. My s14 was asked to be placed at the Valvoline booth and was given the chance to dyno in the afternoon. We got on the dyno and did three pulls. At 10lbs of boost we made - 304, 303, and 303 rear wheel horse power with around 270+ torque. I was expecting much less being the boost was set at 10lbs, but I am very happy with the results. All I can say is, the Viper only made 400 to the wheels. I can also say that I have one sweet sounding car! The yellow sil80 represented Driven Concepts out at the drift course. Tony did excellent from the one of the runs that I saw, I am sure he did just as well on his other runs out there. Thank you Julius, Dunlop, and Tony for giving us the chance to help out! Our tented booth housed my GS300.......my baby's starting to look good, I don't give a shit it wasn't running, its exterior looks beat out a good 80% of the cars out there! Directly in front the booth had all the DC cars lined car representing!!!! The three DC girls were OFF THE CHAIN! Our booth area was already packed before they arrived, once they showed up, we had stop traffic, people fighting to get pictures taken with them! I want to thank the three of them for showing up in the skimmpy ass clothes they where in! Looked hot though! Overall, HIN was kinda weak, but DC rocked the house!!!!! I thought the show was ok. As much advertisement the show did in magazines and all, I did expect a much greater turn out when it came to cars.
