240sx ka24de 1st time clutch replacement
haha soo this morning i decided to replace the clutch in my 240 (s14) dualcam anyways i was doing good for a while but holy fuck unbolting the top 2 bolts that hold the tranny onto the engine..... fuck took like an hr to figure out how i was gona do it but we managed... but yea being my first time and being partialy by myself most of the day i think i did a pretty good job i had alot of help from some others Kodey and mike out in whitt feild if you drift in bradenton you most likely know them and my friend huff did a good job at haning tools and standing next to the radio soo we got reception.... (dont ask for some reason when he stood by it we got better reception LMAO!!) and my friend brennen was a great help at fingering the bolts HAHA he called it fingering them and my grandpa for letting me use his gradage and shit and all his tools and hookin me upppppppppp haha but yea about those 2 bolts fuck those!! anyone know an really easy way to get them off??? becuase it was not fun... most of the pppl i talk to siad they pull the whole engine to change the clutch but i didint wana do that lol but anyways sorry for all the talkin here is some pics take a lookesy

ten minute transmission pulls are the norm... just takes practice i guess...lol.. anyways...remove shifter, pull drive shaft, remove tranny mount, unbolt exhaust at the cat... place your stock ass scissor jack between the exhuast and the floor board... screw the jack(as if you were lifting the car) this will tilt the motor and tranny back... then with a sweet extension and socket, you can easily get to the top two bolts... but ya, the right tools really help (24in extension and swivle sockets)
or maybe i shouldnt give out the secrets.... |

yea when i put it back on i just jacked the motor up to get it at an angle and first try we slide that bitch back into the motor wrenched that shit back on and i was done.... i had some trouble with putting the throw out bearing onto the fork in the bellhouseing but i kept pushing it to far foward and it was knocking it off the shaft thus makeing the pins come out of the fork... but it was cake really... i bet i can do it in a few hrs now compared to 2 days.... like i siad.. i had absolotly no experance at that... the most i have ever really done was take a diff off and got it welded that was cake 2but idk if was fun
