seering problems...help?

ok so i got a '89 240 cupe...and my steering collumn rod (the part in the engin bay) came out of its lil cuplink...and its like too short to get back
into the cuplink....any ideas?!?

cook the steak (covered on high heat) on one side for about 2 minutes...then flip onto an unused portion of the grill...cook on the other side for 2 minutes (also covered)...place in a covered pan and let it cook on its own heat...

remove after a few minutes and let it sit on a board to cool, this allows the juiced to permeate the meat, cut and enjoy

The coupling slides down to make clearance for the shaft to come out and will slide back up again to slot back on to the steering shaft.
