5 things to make a badass drift car
Here is what you need for a well setup drift car:
1 - Fix what's broken (TC Rods, Leaky PS rack, Overheating, Drivetrain layout, auto to 5-speed etc)
2 - Coilovers
3 - Racing Seat
4 - LSD
5 - Tires, Gas, Maintenence, Practice, repeat
Anything else is just icing on the cake.
You DON'T need:
Lots of power
Lots of steering angle
Hydraulic Ebrake
"Wheel fitment"
Short shifter
Drift button
Harness
Cage
Carbon fiber anything
This isn't to say that you can't do a lot with less, or that these oter things don't make it easier or more fun, but for all itents and purposes, this is the difinitive answer to all those "What do I need to drift my ____?"Last edited by mranlet; 04-12-2007 at 09:46 AM.

Racing Seat? my knee's hit the underside of the dash, it hurts, will seat fix that?
edit: i think harnesses are just as important as seat, cause they hold u in your seat, which is nice when ur doin crazy shit.Last edited by doodoobrown69; 04-30-2007 at 12:46 AM.

Yeah, and my MOMO T-BUCKET feels really good while gripping my MOMO GT-B WHEEL, which steers my FALKEN AZENIS RT-615s with my KAAZ 2-WAY DIFFERENTIAL...

IMHO, a supportive seat helps more than a harness. With a stock seat, a harness helps quite a bit, but even a factory seat belt will be sufficient with a good bucket. Besides, police don't like to see harnesses in cars.
