one pice drive shaft

Ok i have been reading a little on these things... over all it sounds good . but im wondering who all has actually used em on their rides? As well was there any power / torque gains from doing so?

A buddy of mine up here was mentioning about getting a carbon fiber one on his S14. honestly as a daily beater i do see it being an option. im looking more towards the alum. if i decide to take this step.

I had a custom one-piece steel shaft made for me, as well as an aluminum one-piece. The aluminum is half the weight of the stocker, but makes a ton of noise on decel. The steel one-piece was only 2-3lbs more than the aluminum and less noise. Theoretically, you'll be making the drivetrain more efficient, so (theoretically) you'll have less loss and more power to the wheels. I didn't feel any difference though. Your mileage may vary.

yeah the co. that makes wem ais called the drive shaft shop in NC. they are about an hr and a half away from here... the guy on the phone wasnt sur if it would help create more power but said it will make the car more snappier on accel. namely due to the fact that teh two piece has a bit of flex on accel.

As for the noise of the alum. well my friend brain had the same dealio on his stang down there. the noise is something im willing to accept. pretty much already tuned out the short shifter rattle... lol.

I have a driveshaftshop one piece steel in my s14 I noticed more power but I did it the same time as my 5 speed conversion so Im not sure how much actually came from changing the driveshaft but it deff feels more responsive

theres a shop in clearwater that does 1 peices for like 300 + tax thats for a aluminum and they weigh like 10 lbs. the place is called perscion shaft tech. call em up mabye then can help u out more
