Hello

My name is Alan and I am one of the owners of Bradenton Motorsports Park andthe one who wants to make the Sept. 14th the street racers event. I willassure you that the music if there is music will be tasteful. I am working with many of the car club admin guys and organizers to blend the desires. I will be available all night Friday the 14th and I want to hear the good and the bad so WE can make this a street race night. Anything regarding rules andthe lack of rules will only come from me after talking with a lot of peopleand I will send that info through Robert for him to post. I appreciate your concerns and will assure you that we all will make this a fun event. Please let ME know what I can do to make this as great as we all know it can be.

Thanks!

Club 1320 Street Racing at Bradenton Motorsports Park

General Information
Where: Bradenton Motorsports Park
Directions: 9 miles East of I-75 in SR 64 (exit 42 off I-75)
When: Friday September 14 2001
Time: 9 pm to 2 am
Price: $8 per person (race or spectator)

Rules

- All vehicles are welcome including: passenger vehicles bikes and trucks. Domestic or Import. No rail cars pro-stocks or any other race only vehicles. Vehicles are preferred to be driven into the track.

- Only properly muffled vehicles may run past 12 am (refers more to bikes and extremely loud cars). Not trying to single anyone out we just need to be able to keep doing this.

- This is heads up racing so the rules of each race depend upon the challenger and challenge.

- All drivers intending to race must sign the waiver to receive an armband. Armband is required to race.

- Water box will be shut off.

- Normal track safety requirements must be observed for faster vehicles.

- We desire to have as few rules as possible.

- Each person decides if they want to run someone else.

- If there is an issue work it out.

- Trash will have to be placed in the trash containers.

- ABSOLUTLY NO DRINKING AND DRIVING.

Event Info:

This event will be very informal. We will have minimal staff and parking will be more flexible and open. There will be no times displayed on the scoreboard nor will time slips be given out only a winner light will be displayed. A Pro Tree will be used instead of a standard tree. Future dates are dependent on initial attendance so we strongly encourage you to come out to this. If the attendance is high enough and the event goes off smoothly we will be doing this on a regular schedule (Calendar of events permitted).

WE MUST TAKE IT EASY BETWEEN I-75 and THE TRACK. AS YOU TRAVEL DOWN STATE ROAD 64 P L E A S E TAKE IT EASY AND KEEP THE NOISE DOWN. THIS WILL HELP ENSURE THAT WE CAN KEEP DOING THIS. THANKS!

All the best
Alan

Do we have an e-mail address available for Alan? I would like to personally thank him for the oppurtunity and also encourage him to hold a second event in the not too distant future so that those of us who will be in Atlanta (NOPI) can make an appearance as well.

Charles

that sounds sweet....perhaps the most appealing aspect for me is that they will not be showing the times.

I have Alans e-mail address I will check with him first though to see if he wants it posted. It is his company address so I am uncertain if he wants a bunch of e-mails there. The second event will be planned if this one goes off w/o a hitch both on and off the track as well as down 64 back to I-75. Therefore dont invite anyone that you think could be a problem ! See all of you there.
