does any body know how to give a 1995 honda civic better take offs?

Think you need to be a bit more clear on what your asking. Most are just going to say slicks/DR.. Not sure if you want advise on how to launch a car. If that is the case we would need to know more about your cars setup..engine, tires, rim size etc.. I know depending on if I have the 14 inch dr's on or the 13'' street tires I launch differant.

better take offs require tires and test takeoffs its not just tires its practice so do it

so do i need better tires? oh and its a sohc manual,14 inch tires with a t3 greddy turbo boosted at 8 pounds people tell me i have to change my cams but what do i do?

Tires are definatly the key to a good launch. I cut a second off my et's switching from drag radials to slicks!

No, I have cheap ebay coil overs. I tightened up the tension bars and had it alighned! Launches like a dream!
However, I don't think Civics have said tension bars!

If you have adjustable shocks, on a front drive turn up the shocks as hard as possible in the rear. With the cheap ebay springs you won't get wheel hop being that they are way stiffer then you need. But it will come down to tires, get as soft ones as you can if you want it to hook.

on the streets and on the strip are 2 different things when it comes too getting a good take off, if you was good on the street by spanking ass's and if its gonna be your 1st time at the track, then good luck it aint gonna happen the way u thought it would be. For me at the track, i notice in my girlfriends video camera my driver side wheel wasnt spinning when im launching out, even if i got slicks or dr, so i got lsd with in the nex 2 months, made a big improvement, launching out at 5000 rpm and by playing with the gas pedal, its really all about knowing your car, and practice, thats my experience at the drag, and thats how i get my 13's on my all motor gsr with all jdm DC type r internals with CTR pistons, Hondata s200 dyno at 198 whp. But on the streets, with steelies or dunuts, as long as you got a good clutch that would produce a good amount of torgue to your car then i wouldnt even rev up pass 3000 rpm, its all about not having too much wheel spins, i launch off on everyone at 1500 to 2000 rpm, then its all on how your using ur gas pedal from there on, hopefully i knocked some senses..!
