That's right, it is official, they will be closing their gates on Dec 18th, 2006 to start the process ! It takes three weeks to construct and one week for curing. So the track should be back up the second week or so of January.
They need to assemble four teams of volunteers who are willing to perform heavy labor in assisting only in the removal of guardrail. Heavy equipment, torches and cordless impacts a plus. All they need is help removing guardrail. The concrete company will do the rest. If anyone is interested in helping to make their racing experience safer, please contact: Ben Seymour (941)812-3602 Track Manager Mark Kopf (941)345-5036 Assistant Manager Laurie Johnson (941)748-1320 General Manager This is nothing but great news both on the safety front for racers and shows how serious the ownership is about the track and its longevity for all of us. I will update everyone once it is complete ! - |

Commencement begins in 5 days. We are also trying to get some new water boxes poured to get rid of the dips. We are still looking for volunteers. Word has it that Matt Scranton will be coming down to help along with a few other race teams. If anyone is interested please call us. Your support is appreciated!

Alright, not everyone speak up at once. We really need some help. Right now we only have 4 people who have called. We still need equipment, torches and compressors and impacts are the main concern. Anyone who can help is urged to call and help. Please guys, this is for YOUR SAFETY. Thanks and see ya at the track!
