Well, we installed my turbo this week and took her up to the track today (Fl. Neon Event at Bradenton).

I launched almost at idle on my street tires and bogged bad. But once the boost kicked in, it was on. My clutch was slipping like hell (but I figured it would) I still have alot to learn about driving a boosted car, but with a stronger clutch, my slicks and my normal 1.8 60 footers, I should see some 12 second passes.

r/t .207
60 2.48 <--horrible!!!!!
1/8 9.2 at 84
1/4 13.8 at 106 mph

By the way, it's a daily driven Neon.

id say low 13's...the mph isnt there for 12's really, unless you can get those 60's under 2.0

I usually pull 1.8's with my slicks, but I know my clutch couldn't handle that right now. I'm sure I could have pulled a 13.4 - 13.5 on street tires if I had a few more runs to get used to launching on street tires with boost.

No shit!! I felt like a retard off the line. But it is so differnet to launch with a turbo than it was with my N/A set-up. It goes from just a tad bit of power right off the line, and then at 3000 rpms or so, BAM, like someone hits a nitrous switch.

I usally come off my two step at 5500rpms, I can't wait to do that with my new set up.

Looks good. I don't know how much you lose with FWD but my '64 Falcon with a slightly warmed 302 matched up pretty good with the mph at 104. It was able to pull 12.61 with a 1.6xx 60'.

OUCH! that one hurt...

All my mods are on my webpage www.neonrick.com , check it out.

Hey Doc, that's what I was thinking. My old mustang went 12.80 at 102, so I just need a clutch and get back to the track.

I still can't get over the whole 106 mph thing!!!! I passed my buddies Camero on that run and he about shit him self!!

106 is hard to say with all the spin the mph could be bumped up ? Maybe with traction your at 102'ish and a 13.4? But all a guessing game?

Sometimes a complete lack of traction like that can hurt your mph.

Only one way to find out ... fix it and throw some slicks on

Don't forget, that is with a slipping clutch also. I know I'll lose some MPH with a better launch, but I will gain some back when I can bang the gears again.

I'm guessing 13.2-13.3 on street tires and 12.8-12.9 on my slicks

I'm guessing you are correct. I ran 12.90 @ 106 w/ a 1.805 60 ft on drag radials. Good job none the less. My pass was with a weight of 2450 plus my 200lbs.
