Derek, did you have your seat bolted/welded to your cage? I read that somewhere if you have a aftermarket seat or cage that the seat has to be connected to the cage. Or something like that. Is there any truth to that?? Fire Jacket is at 11.50 right? -Mark

/\/\ "New" safety rules at BMP. "New" in this context means posted on their site over five months ago and much stricter than the rules in place when I last had a car fast enough to worry about them- a year and a half ago.
But also "New" in the context of this otherwise outdated thread.

Really interesting to read the rules. From reading that I wouldnt want a car thats under 12 seconds. So basically everyone needs at least a drive shaft loop and a helmet unless you sandbag. I've ridden passenger in a 11 second car didnt have a roll bar or cage or harnesses just a reinforced frame so it wouldnt twist. Are there any 1/8th mile tracks around?

lakeland has an 1/8th mile track prep is usually pretty bad yet there are some real fast cars out there on occasion
if a car is stock it still has to abide by the rules on a track correct?
