Is that how you felt everytime you raced someone on a public street?

We are not idiots, we are not going to be scared off the streets by something you say here.

EXHAUST ETC (Donnie) and MR 2 (Eric)

You two really need to chill the f*ck out. Why is it you have a problem when I comment something on street racing but say nothing to others that reply to it in a not so positive manner ?

Eric, do you honestly think I am trying to "scare" you off the streets ? That is some funny shit ! If you want to play Russian rullette that is your deal but I will continue to offer and promote legal racing on TR, so deal with it !

I never raced in a organized (if you want to call it that) street race with my car, ever ! So I am uncertain about your public street comment. If that somewhow makes me look less hardcore than some of you I really could care less. I don't go through life trying to impress anyone.

Donnie, not much to say here other than give it a rest ! I don't think anyone here reveers you as a street racer.

Lets get one thing straight once and for all. I have many friends on and off of TR that street race. That is their choice and I do not think less of them for doing it. I think the action of street racing it is dumb as hell and unfortunatley one of these days someone I know or one of you knows is going to pay the price in one way or another.

So spare me the "we are not idiots " shit and that your organized street racing is somehow safe and organized because it isn't. If you want to do it, fine but don't throw stones from a glass house when I post my occasional comment.

Anything else you guys want to discuss ?

To anyone else reading this I am sorry for the RANT but I wanted my reply to this topic to be seen in public view.

Sorry to hijack the thread so if someone could please measure the area in question so we could all move on from this topic it would great !

Viper Guy, don;t worry the thread will not get locked in this forum as quickly as things do in War Stories. Just no personal attacks please.

I am not wound up, so no need to chill the f*ck out.

You made a statement that made people that race on public streets seem bad or even evil with the killing comment. I then asked if that is what you felt when you raced, I mean how else would you come up with such an extreme statement.

I don't think that make me look wired or wound up so I don't know why you replied like you did

Scott, seriously man lay off the "street racing is dangerous" rant. And I know you're not going to pull the "I have never street raced" bullshit. We both know that is not true. Let the street racers play their game. You hardly see anyone who races on the street bash the track. Last I checked, a lot of these same street racers you rant about are the same ones who support the TR track day!!!!

I made a reference to the action of street racing not the street racers. I also put a after it because I honestly don't know why some of you do it on a regular basis.

Not trying to pick on anyone in particular here just posting my feelings like everyone else. Take it or leave it I guess.

Sorry I should have said I have never raced at a street race. Going at it from a light with some random person hardly measures up to what the "street racers" on here do.

No one knocks the track becasue it is legal. So your point ?

I know the street racers support the Track Events and that is great ! Why do think I started doing these things ? To give street racers a different avenue to do their street racing. Seems like a lot of them are going to show so I am glad to see they have a safe place to run at least one night every once and a while.

I make one little comment about the thrill of street racing and look how many people blow up at me. So who is ranting here ?

You guys take what I say way to serious most of the time.

but youve expressed the same view in several posts, just as chris said, "not again"

When my car ran, i did enjoy the track, but i also enjoyed gandy too. Had most of my best races out there. It was fun

No need to make-up because I don't dislike any of these people (at least for now :lol ) .

Just speaking off the cuff like I do from time to time. Thankfully you (Vince) and a lot of the others know I mean nothing personal about any of this.

It's all good! Just don't bring up the saftey issue, that's my shit pot to stir!

Only have a couple of things to add, and speaking in general terms, not directed at anyone:

If people wish to street race, that is their choice but those same people have no right to bitch about anything that is directly correlated to or created by their choice.

If you prefer to street race and make a trek to the track every once in a while that is cool! But, you again have NO RIGHT to complain about the track giving the pure race cars/trailer queens/whatever you label them, priority over you. This is where we run, don't like it? Leave...
Heard enough whiny bullshit about that one to last me a lifetime..

Ok that's it!

looking forward to making one of the track events this year.. (i hope)

Racing on the street, why?
No LINE.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The track, well our crew goes to the track 2 or 3 times a week. Moroso is open Wed, Fri, and some times Sunday. The one complaint I hear the most about the track is " I was there 5.5 hours and only got 1 or 2 runs, the line was to long. "

The best things I have herd at the track are " wow this is fun, man I met alot of peaple that like to race, this is better than getting a tickit..ect...ect...ect "

So there are both sides. I live both. I do both. Not one time have we seen some one wreck there car on the street or hurt some one ever in a race. Not to say it does not happen. It will and it can.

At the Track we ( our crew ) see several wrecks at Moroso each month. There are times at the track where the conditions are so bad that I left the track.

Just MY FACTS guys. There is always some danger when in a car, regardless of where, what, and when. Just do your best to be safe at what you love...............

P.S. To Ford Man,
I'm a betting man. I say you will continue to bash us. So be it. 8000 posts for you and nothing has changed. There still racing on the streets Ford Man. To me it just sucks coming here to this .com knowing that you will always show up on a real juicy street thread and fuck it all up and lock it. Just when it is getting good. Because YOU do not like what we are talking about. And than to say we get a thrill out of police chasing us, or killing some one. Hell thay should just name this .com " trackracingonly.com by FORD MAN. Because that is what it is turning into. Your .com, not ours............

That is street ricing not racing.

And they are dangerous, not all of us race in huge groups with 100s of people around us.
