Seeing my options on install

We just got the SRT-4 in March. First thing I bought was a Mopar Blue Plate. Not looking into getting an aftermarket bov yet, maybe in the future. Anyways that's besides the point...

I've worked on plenty of cars but this one for some reason I don't want to mess anything up so I rather other people do the work on it till I get familiar with this car.

So I was going to take it to the Dodge dealer where we got it from to install the Mopar Blue Plate, but can anyone tell me what the labor charge would be after they install this?

If anyone's installed this before and feel they are comfortable doing it and won't damage anything on our car. Then I'll be more then happy to pay for your gas coming to my house and pay for the labor. Possibly throw in some lunch as well.

I will be out of town all next week, and this weekend I'm getting married so this weekend is out of the question. But after April 23rd would be fine.

Let me know. Thanks!

don't take it to the dealership. It's a simple job( just three bolts). Why do you want to install the rice plate anyways?

I know its simple lol. I saw where it is and what needs to be done. If your wondering why I don't want to do it myself refer to my first post.

There's a few things I hate, my 1g DSM bov recirculates into the intake... I'm still able to hear the bov...barely. On the SRT-4 I can't hear nothing... turbo spooling then I shift and all I hear is my exhaust. Eh, I guess I like the bov noise. I watched video's of different comparisons of bov's on SRT-4's. I like the blue plate mod and how it sounds so for now that's what I want. Later on I'll upgrade to something else. But I already bought the part, I have it here at my house and I want it installed.

If you like you car, and plan on keeping it a while, dont let the dealership touch it, unless absolutely NECESSARY.

Now the rice plate is easy...buy a ratcheting wrench to do the job. Do it when the engine is cold. 30mins tops. Woosh woosh!

Oh BTW: Lay,the rice plate works perfectly fine, is cheap and easy to install. Hmm...I think its been on my car almost 4 years now.

Yes I like my car and I do plan on keeping it for awhile... I won't let the dealership touch it. Thanks for the advice.

I see how easy it is, I will try installing it myself, I have the tools necessary of doing the job.

Yeah I've also heard there's nothing wrong with the plate, I like the way the SRT-4's sound with it on.

now you can enjoy the PSHHH PSHHH(make sure you're not leaking because I know quite a few ppl. after putting these on they were leaking from not tightening them properly), dealer would have been like $60 or more

If you have a job too big for you, try to talk to Corby at Jerry Ulm, he's the best mech I've met in FL (my dad had a dealership in OH for 40+yrs, so I've known a few mech in my day)
I aggree, don't have any repair done at a dealership...they charge what the book says even if it only takes 1/2 the time.
