need help dodge avenger

my freind just bout an 95 avenger and u crank it up and its idal goes up to 4k and when driving the moter gets jumpy and u give it gas and it stalls

Sounds like a major vaccum leak

check the tps also take it off and see if its worn real bad also idle air part
