95 neon pops fuel pump fuse.

ok so he keeps blowiing the fuel pump fuse and after replacing it aand starting it up it runs but once he starts accelerating and the car starts moving the fuse pops again.. also the fuel gaugue doent work as well would this be any indication that the fuel pump is bad or if there is somethign on the fuel pump that is grounding it out and making the fuse pop.. any help would be appreciated.. also if the fuel pump is bad and needs replacement if we got a walbro 255 one and installed that would it be ok with no proformance mods.. they are a $100 cheaper than stock... thanks

your fuel pump is dying...this is a common symptom of dying fuel pumps...my old 95 did it too until I replaced the pump

yep, the 255 is a direct(but higher flowing, if ever needed and quieter) stock replacement, after all, the only two things that can change fuel injected into the engine are fuel pressure(controlled by the regulator) and pulsewidth(controlled by the ECU)

yep, there is a 90% chance its a fuel pump...the other possibility being a short in the wiring, which you may want to check
