I've heard bad things about spec...tear it apart and try it with the stock clutch, the flywheel could possibly be out of balance for some reason

www.neons.org :: View topic - PT clutch = VIBRATION
after searching i found the above link. after that i realized that this "cone" deal didnt come with my clutch. so i called spec and they told me that i am supposed to take the one out of the stock clutch. i will let you know what happens. time to tear it apart again.

der, I was thinking non modular when you said modular, my bad, but all the modular clutches I have ever installed are pretty simple and have gone smoothly

in the first pic the circled area is what needs to be removed. you do this by fliiping the clutch face up and sitting some bords around the edges. then you take a ratchet and stick the handle down the center hole until it stops then hit the head of the ratchet with a hammer until it falls out.

second picture shows where you are going to put the piece from the stock clutch

the third pic shows the new and old clutch and the peice to be removed already removed. the three arrows pointing at the piece are pointing at tabs that i needed to bend outward slightly (bearly) to get the center peice to fit into the new clutch tightly. make sure you bend the tabs at an even rate so that its evenly spaced all the way around when installed in the new clutch. then tap with a hammer into place so that it wont come out with out doing the process in picture 1.

and the final pic shows it installed on the new clutch.

im not sure if its just for the spec clutchs that you have to do this but i figured this would help someone in need.
