K let's back up.

Are you talking about the top pic, or the bottom one? Both have the same wheel/tire combo.
I plan on making the bottom pic a permament mod. Those are 17*8 35mm offset, with 225.

If you got you 17*8 to fit like the bottom pic, I'd like to know how, maybe there is an easier way.

This is a old pic and the only pic I can fine with a up close of the rim and tire.

My setup looks just like that, too!

I have some 17 x 7 Enkei RSV's (35mm offset), wrapped in 225/45/ZR17 Falken Ziex 512's...

It looks like the second picture, with the tire sticking out the side a little. To me, it looks good, and the overall "feel" of the car seems better. I've had this setup for a little over a year now, with the exception of the Falkens. I used to have some Hankooks on there before...
