3. yeah i know all about promoting, in my ricer days i was in a car club where we had to freking promote a ton of companies some small and good but some small and shitty, funny because i went on my own with a graphic company that was different from the "clubs" company and started a ton of shit because i liked the other person work better. then it got stupid with 1/2 painted cars and stock cars with fart cans, and club bs of having retarted "sponsor stickers" all over my car making it look like the back of a free t-shirt you get at carshows of all the supporting sponsors. plus i dont speak/understand spanish so i felt out of place a bit.

Most of these places offer you a discount through several vendors. They do give you a discount but not better than you could get if you shopped around. Plus they got your money to start with.

I'm with Alpha I had to just about finish my car before I got sponsored and then most of them wanted me to jump through hoops and put crappy stickers everywhere.

You are best to take some really good pictures of your car and make a portfolio and send it to just the people you want. See what they want you to do for sponsorship and see if you can live with it.

Memphis Car Audio is great. They gave me over 3k worth of their stuff and only ask, "If there is a car show in your area can we have your car in our booth, if it is convienant for you." Like Adam Sandler said, HELL YEA!

I can guarantee one thing, if you would want an AEM EMS you wont find it cheaper anywhere than from CS. Like they are outrageously discounted through them, actually most AEM products are. Even after you account for the $89.00 fee you usually are still saving $400+ from what other vendors sell them for.

The only reason that Carsponsorships.com has the affiliations that have been mentioned in this thread(NCCA, HIN, etc) is $$$. They take the money that they scammed from you clowns, and then use it to pay for advertising in magazines, sponsorship of events, organizations, etc, thereby adding the appearance of legitimacy to their business. If you want Ebay pricing for products, which is all you're going to get, then save your $89 and go straight to Ebay.

A few years ago I signed up with them, back then there was no fee for joining.
At the time, the only "sponsored" items they offered were cleaning supplies, stickers, and neon. And as other people have said, the items aren't free, they're just discounted, and not by that much.

Also, the term "ricer" doesn't mean that a vehicle is made in the orient. Its sad to say, but I saw a riced out Camaro. If you're a ricer, it means you wasted money on stupid shit; such as, but not limited to: fart can, autozone wing, stickers for parts you don't have... And srsly, if you invest in actual aftermarket work and you still have a fart can or a wing that looks like it belongs on a 747 or a plymouth roadrunner, you're a ricer.
