hey yall i just have been thinkin about getting a neon but theres no way i have enough $ to get anew SRT-4 i wish, but i dont so o well anyway i was wondering what years you guys whould suggest and what to do to it feel free to rant on the shitty years also i got no problem with that

Don't get the 03's, no LSD and smaller stock injectors. Well if we are talking all neons, plan on a 2.4 swap if you get a 94-99 and add a turbo. That's where the power is.

I personally like the '95s since they seem to be the lightest...but you have to be careful....you would want a 5 lug version(since in 95 4 lug was also availale) I like both my 95 and 98....as far as a standpoint of mileage goes...you might be able to find a '99 with really low miles, I personally will beat on the non turbo 2000-current models though, they weigh in quite a bit heavier, are no longer available as a Coupe, and the 03-up models have the NGC controller...I hate that thing, its because of that change that I have to run my SRT engine from a standalone(either that or do all kinds of wiring swaps, but since I had a standalone anyway...it wasa no brainer) so I of course vote for any 95-99 coupe, the 95s though were different than the other years in a lot of small things...you may find it easier to go with 96-99
