Don't get the 03's, no LSD and smaller stock injectors. Well if we are talking all neons, plan on a 2.4 swap if you get a 94-99 and add a turbo. That's where the power is.

97's were nice, the 95 and some early 96's had bad steering knuckles. Aside from that my 96 didn't give me anyprobs till after the timing belt was replaced.

I personally like the '95s since they seem to be the lightest...but you have to be careful....you would want a 5 lug version(since in 95 4 lug was also availale) I like both my 95 and 98....as far as a standpoint of mileage goes...you might be able to find a '99 with really low miles, I personally will beat on the non turbo 2000-current models though, they weigh in quite a bit heavier, are no longer available as a Coupe, and the 03-up models have the NGC controller...I hate that thing, its because of that change that I have to run my SRT engine from a standalone(either that or do all kinds of wiring swaps, but since I had a standalone anyway...it wasa no brainer) so I of course vote for any 95-99 coupe, the 95s though were different than the other years in a lot of small things...you may find it easier to go with 96-99
