Polished Intake manifold and Valve Cover pics
Just thought I'd let everybody see what my new setup looks like. Its a new valve cover, intake manifold, and a new TB and adapter plate. The install was pretty easy and it came out real good. Haven't got a chance to really test out the difference b/c of the rain but the pedal is far more responsive with the new TB. Car feels like it runs stronger too, but it will take a little while for the pcm to get used to the new TB, and I'll have to reset my MBC.

Yes it's ported and no it's not a ZZap its a stock TB bored straight through to 55...I will be getting another TB in a couple days which is 59mm to 50mm tapered, I really want to see which gets better performance.

Someone is making a fully custom big plenum one thats going for like 700 on SRTforums, but I don't have that kinda cash, besides which I'm stock turbo so it wouldn't do me that much good anyways. And yeah it definitely gets and stays warmer thats for damn sure, it's a good thing I have CAI otherwise I could be gettin some higher intake temps.
I think my next project might be to swap my mopar cat delte pipe for a needs wings with an e-cutout, either that or an SAFC and some tuning, we'll have to see. P.S. anybody know somebody with a yellow SXT that wants to switch spoilers??? Fo' free!!! |

http://www.srtforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=160216 added a daytime pic, you can see the ICY HOT stunna polished work better in daytime. One thing I have noticed about is you have to readjust your MBC after install b/c my boost dropped like 3-4 psi.
