quick spool and the motors are pretty torquy down low on its own...add to that the ultra low 8.1:1 compression

there a few cars trying t3/t4 e but the results are somewhate promising the most weve seen thus far is a bitch shy of 375whp and 400wt at 15-17psi with a Stage 1 computer being the electronics and a 75 shot running a bit lean oin a stock motor/tranny

the reason why this motor/turbo combination work so great is because the factory diverter valve (BOV) is mounted on the intake compressor side and when venting it recirculates the air right back into the inlet. On the exhaust manifold side using a reverse flow 16g allowed for very quick spool and allowed them to mount the wastegate in a strategic place on the cast exhaust housing/manifold. With both the diverter and wastegate in the "ideal" locations on this setup allows them to manipulate spool up and power delivery via selenoids which in turn are computer controlled.

This may be a stupid question but bare with me, I don't much about the SRT4's.

Anyways, why do these cars run like shit with a CAI on them. At least my friend's does. He put a AEM on it and it ran like complete ass so it came back off for now. Too lean??? What's the deal??

it might be like wrx's... and intake leans out the mixture. sends all kinds of crap into a frenzy.

I think if I were to own an SRT-4 I would have to yank the manifold and turbo off and replace it with something much prettier. I couldn't stand to drive around with something that ugly under the hood.....yeah that's the reason I would do it.

its 8.1 :1 in this setup thats one of the reasons the car only revs to 6250 the other is the inherently small turbo.

Yeah he's planning on replacing that sooner or later. He's going with a new clutch for right now.
