Going to have my GST fully built over the next month. Will have pics and vids!
I've been talking to DarksideZ on the phone/text over the past two days about building my '97 GST. We've come to the conclusion we will perform a complete build.
It has 82k miles and recently suffered a blown head gasket on the highway that lead to severe overheating and rod knock. The car was poorly modified and abused by the previous owner, and I bought it with the intention of saving it.
The car will have a built 9.5:1 2.3, BorgWarner S366, Punishment Racing sidewinder manifold, among other goodies. It will be driven daily, but not relied on, since I have my trustworthy 7.3 PSD Excursion.
Here's the car for reference:

I'll update along the way.Last edited by Boostin'Xr4; 07-13-2011 at 07:26 PM.

I will. You'll see.

I'm expecting spin, but I'm going to work the fenders and raise the front end enough to stuff a wide-offset wheel with a 275 ET Street, so It won't be THAT bad. I'm keeping it FWD for simplicity, as i'd like the car to hold together for a while!

Just so you know FWD's transmissions break way faster than AWD ones. Most high hp FWD guys buy a built or build an AWD trans and have the input shaft hole blocked off.
