Fox Body Coupe - Chasis Work by Racing Innovations FL

This is my 1989 Ford Mustang Coupe, the car is a 306ci / C4 / 8.8" / Carb / Spray setup currently, with aspirations of going Blow-Thru Turbo at some point in the future.

This is a purpose built racecar. My specific intentions and goals for this car have been simple: Fast, Reliable, Safe, Efficient, and Street-able. I fully intend on drag racing this car for many years to come, and look forward to sharing it with my fiance, our children (to come), and my father as well (old school Chebby guy). In addition to drag racing, I intend on taking it to some local 'cruise-ins' that take place around my hometown within a few mile radius. So the car must be safe for both the track and the street!

Here is a look at the level of quality craftmanship that is displayed by the fabricators and installers at Racing Innovations of Florida. Many thanks to Chad (n8secstangg) and Eric for their awesome work, awesome prices, and superior customer service. I look forward to bringing the car back to Racing Innovations repeatedly over the course of the continuation of this build, as they're the only shop that I've gotten this level of service from. Ever.

The tear down; prepping to leave to Racing Innovations:

It's good to some fabrication as a change from the bolt-on stuff.
I like the idea of stiffening the frame, as well as being class-legal.

That is quite an installation. I can see why you have a lot of pride in your car.

In the 12th pic down, where the diagonal brace runs from the roll cage passenger side, top corner, down into the trunk, do you have any pics of the path it took? It has a bend that I'm curious about as it goes through
and into the trunk where it is welded to the subframe.

Thanks.-Bob

/\ Thank you

Here's the only pics of those two bars that I can think of to show you. I can try and photograph the bends specifically later this week or weekend...

/\ Cool man. I had all the work done at Racing Innovations down in Largo area. There is an entire build thread about my car from start-to-finish (someday) in the Ford Tech "Projects" section

Rep'd ya for the work on the 240 brother!

Thanks Santos. Car is at a stand-still for the moment. Buying a house; moving, etc. Once I get it to its new home though... Game on
