My ksport adjustable coilover just blew

I have one front adjustable coilover that is leaking from the top so I need it rebuilt. Anyone know someone in tampa or in the area that can do this?

THANKS

How old are they? I believe they have a 1 year warranty.
Don't have them rebuilt, just have ksport send new inserts, or buy new inserts.
Did you mess with the preload, for example droop the spring?
Or, get a hold of TreeKiller.

ok i dont know what dropping the spring means?? I have ridden on them for a good 25k-35k miles. I have had them I believe a 19 months. The only thing I really need is the strut portion and some people on 9thgen.com said i could have these re-built.

Can you tell me what the insert would be, because I dont know if that is just the strut or what....THANKS

Yes, the strut portion is the insert.
Yea, you probably don't have any droop in the springs.
Contact TreeKiller, I am pretty sure he rebuilds KSport's
If not, contact Ksport and see if they can cut you a discount on the strut portion.

Yeah I saw in a nother thread that he rebuilds. if I could just get the strut portion that would be great, i could do it myself (i think). But if I have to open it up to do seals and stuff there is no way

in your case replace the cartridge, but keep in mind on a C-strut (which is k-sport for that part) like all dampers you will loose some valving over time, so your new strut will have to be adjusted slightly softer then the older one to balance the handling. If you still have problems (since I know they are out of stock on them) I have 2 C-struts sitting on my workbench with 9000 miles if you have trouble getting one from them. you can just move the accessories onto the new strut body and rock-on.
