Cant tell front from rear springs!?

I brought some used sprint springs for my civic sedan, but cant tell which is front from back, one pair looks different from another. Just to make sure, I put one of each in the front, one pair is super low, but the wheel well is not touching the tire, and the other pair looks like factory, not a slight difference. The springs are only suppose to be a 1.5" drop.

Help please.

thelonger ones go in the front

all for are the same length, only diff is how far apart each bar is from each other, if you get me, one pair has like 1/2 inch spaces inbetween each other, and the other has like a lil more then an inch apart.

The ones with less area between each coil go in the front.

Realy, that sucks cause those on, dont look like they lowered the car at all.

Are you saying that all four springs are installed as he suggested,
and the car has not changed ride height? on either end?

Then try getting (for testing purposes) two of the same type
on one side and two of the other type on the other side.

You should be able to see a difference, unless the springs are
too tall for your car, and too stiff to allow the suspension to work.
or if the spring rates for one end of the car, are mismatched for what is on the other end.-Bob

If you will, reconfirm for us: when the springs are on the shocks, the coils with the most space between them are on the back? True?

yea i found out the springs with the most space inbetween each coil go in the back, and now im getting ready to buy some shocks

My civic is lowered with neuspeeds and is lower in the back that the front.

I had my springs professionally installed at Honda, so I hope they're right.

HAs anyone else had springs & shocks installed, and the front still rode higher?

Did you buy them brand new...in Box?
Can you read the number on each spring? post them and the location of each and we can tell you if it's right.
Just out of curiosity, When and how much did it cost you to have Honda lower the car?

Yeah, they were NIB. I bought them when Xtreme Image (Palm Harbor) was going out of business.

I know a couple people who work at Palm Harbor Honda, so I got a good deal. I don't remember, but I think it was about 80-100$

But, I will post some pics when I get a moment. I appreciate the help.

Once I straightened out my rear camber and got the right size tires, the ride height problem just sort of worked itself out.
