FS/FT 98 Civic EX 5spd
TRADED
I'm putting up my 1998 Honda Civic EX for trade/sale. Clean title in hand.
*There is a 160,XXX miles on the chassis and 60,XXX miles on the engine. (Don't have proof but pretty sure I can get it)
*It is a D16y8/ with a S40 tranny. Tranny shifts smooth but could use new shiftlinkage/bushings. The motor is MINT from and from an Automatic. (except for a bad oil pan gasket, but I will fixing that before any trade/sale)
Seriously, you couldn't find a better Y8...
Pros
*Mechanically perfect motor
*White HX's with nearly new tires
*Motor is CLEAN
*Stanley OEM 50/50s
*Super-awesome racing style push-button start lol (or is this a con?)
*Silvania Silverstars
*Newish Starter (4 months old)
*Newish battery (less than a year and still under warranty)
*New OEM Struts and Springs (Rides SMOOTH)
*New NGK Spark Plugs
*New Spark Plug Wires
*New Air Filter
*New V-Tec Solenoid
*New Valve Cover Gasket
*New Intake Manifold Gasket/ Newish Exhaust Manifold Gasket
*F1 9lb Flywheel
*Exedy Stage 2 Clutch
*New Throwout Bearing
*Stainless Steel Megan Racing Header/ Heat Wrapped
*New Front Rotors/ Pads
*All A/C parts are there, just no belt because I cut the old one when I replaced the motor.
*Sunroof (NO LEAKS)
*The shell is 9/10 and the engine bay has clean factory paint.
*Oil Changes every 2k miles
*New Honda Manual Transmission Fluid
*Turbo Badge!! (used to be boosted)
*Box of extra/ miscellaneous parts
Cons
*Oil leak at oil pan (Will be taken care of before any sale/trade)
* It does need a new headlight relay and plugs for both headlights(they're old and crappy) but they do work, just no high beams.
*There is a crack in the windshield but, it's on the passenger side, so it doesn't affect visibility/legality
*The paint is faded on the roof but in otherwise good shape.
*I hate the exhaust, the muffler to be precise, it's just a little too loud for me now that I replaced the motor with no turbo.
*Wal-Mart shift knob lol
I think that's all...If you lower it and put a GSR swap in it or boost it, it would be a great car. Anyways to put a price on it I would say $3200 obo,
But really I'm interested in trading for a:
92 and up manual 240sx in decent condition, or a
Clean DA with low miles, or any
Clean 92-95 EG with a well maintained swap (No Hatchbacks preferably)
I'm not gonna lie and say my civic has never been pushed(it has but not on a regular basis), so I don't expect you to tell me your car has never been drifted/ raced. If you have cool, just as long as you knew what you were doing and are honest about the car. It doesn't have to be perfect but something that's not an eye sore and it has to be VERY RELIABLE as I'm going to use it as my daily driver.
This car was not driven like grandma but has had proper and timely maintenance and has always been taken care of. I was completely honest about the car and would hope you are with any trades. Again, I'm not expecting a show car but it has to be reliable and mechanically sound. If there are minor issues, TELL ME they are not deal-breakers, I would rather know and fix them while they're minor instead of being surprised by a major problem.
Thanks for checking out my post. If interested, text me @ (813)-728-0361 pretty much anytime.Last edited by Robert Benson; 03-13-2012 at 04:28 PM. Reason: Cleaned up and organized thread

Bummp....fixing the oil leak today and having the interior re-painted. Fixing pretty much everything that's wrong except the windshield. Offers should reflect that, thanks.
