80 bucks for my 800wRMS monoblock

boss amp. Ask anyone around here, it works, and it puts out more power than that if you got the voltage.

Is that at 2 ohms or 4?

I have 2 12" pioneer subs rated at 500 watts max, i dont wanna blow these bishes

And thanks milano thats a nice amp just a little out of my price range right now

My last setup was ONE JL W3 with a 250 watt alpine amp......everyone who heard it thought i had 15's or something LOL...but i just need this cheap system to hold me over untill i can pony up for a W7 and a JL 1000/1

which model boss amp is it?

That's at 2 ohms. I believe at 4 it makes 600, also depending on the voltage in your car.

It should run fine. If you run all the wires properly before meeting up with me, I'll let you test it out to make sure it is producing adequate power for you. Trust me, I'm relatively fair.

All I ask is that you make most of the trip, I need gas badly and I need to have my first oil change done really soon.

Let me know, thanks.

Trust me, it'll power your subwoofers fine. Get all your wiring pulled out and ready for a quick hookup and I'll let you test it out, you shouldn't be disappointed unless you wired up your woofers wrong to present an 8 ohm load or something .

That boss amp link you gave me gave these power ratings...
  • 900W x 1 @ 4 ohms
  • 1500W x 1 @ 2 ohms
Even if i wire the subs in parellel to produce a 4 owm load thats still way too much power for what i want/need.... sorry man...

Ill get a much cleaner crisper sound out of a smaller amp

What the hell? No you won't. And trust me, I've metered the amp and it does not make what it claims.
At best:
14v @ 2ohms = about 1000wRMS
14v @ 4ohms = about 800ish

Ask people on the main boards, the bigger the amp, the less work it has to do to create the same volume of sound. When you max out a smaller amp, it's going to sound muddier and dirtier. The same applies when for example, you wire up your subwoofers into a lower Ohmmage into an amp that can give it the power it needs, it will sound MUCH cleaner!

Seriously, ask on the forum, I'm not pulling this out of my ass. This amp is the best bang for your buck, I'm only selling it so cheap because I've had it for years but it still works great.

"Max power" doesn't mean anything in real world applications dude.

boss amps were crap in the 80's and the 90's GUESS WHAT???? they are still crap. Your amp is crap b/c it says BOSS on the font of it. max power does matter for peak reasons fag plus no matter what mine is a better deal.

The hell is your problem? I just make one comment and you get sand in your vagina.

Boss wasn't ever a good company, I completely agree with that. In fact, look at what I posted in return to his statement that "boss notes the actual power of 2ohm load at 1500." I told him for a fact that I tested it and it is not true, it only puts out maybe 1000 watts at a really high voltage. I NEVER said "BOSS IS THE SHIT YO! MAKES JL LOOK LIKE POOP".

Max power doesn't MEAN ANYTHING for the average car audio user/listener. It would matter if he were bringing it to a bass competition where a one second burp of power would mean something, but I can almost guarantee this is NOT what he is using it for. So when I say " max power doesn't mean anything in real world applications" you should shut up and nod your head.

Fucking sick and tired of you little Honda driving shits who simply lurk around the site's for sale forums. When anyone says anything to you, you all freak out and come out calling people fags and that what they post is shit.
