2 Fridays ago I spoke to Xavier on the phone to arrange dropping off my car to have an existing exhaust remounted and re weld the downpipe together.
Tuesday I arrive to drop off the car and there is noone at the front I to around the back and find Brian. He told me Xavier and Alpha were not there. They didn't even tell him I was coming. I told him what I was there for and since her didn't have access to the invoice system he had to write that I drpped off the car on notebook paper. I also layed out the piping and explained to him and the "In-house" welder how the exhaust went and that the piping to go over the rear axle had to be fabricated. I also told him I mounted the front bumper just with a few screws and zip ties so that it could be removed very easy to going over ramps and lifts.
after dropping the car off I get a call from Brian. I had to explain to him that the automatic transmission was stuck in 4th gear by default since I had a stand alone on the car. and told him you had to give it some gas to get rolling.

Wed. morning I called at about 11am and spoke with Jamil, from the time they opened to then noone told him the car was there nor what it was there for. AGAIN I explained everything all over again. He told me no problem and he would order the stainless steal 2.5"dia j bends needed for the job.He also tells me he was going to call me back with an update on the car and cost of the job. Note when I dropped off the car I told them if Stainless was not available Mild steel would do.

Thursday I call AGAIN, Jamil still has not gotten the parts and tells me he is going to call me back with update and info.

Friday I finally have to call him to find out what the hell is going on, he tells me he can't find the stainless steel in which I remind him that I told EVERYONE mild steel would do. he tells me he will get right on it and promises the car will be done that afternoon.

I still get no call. I show up after 5pm and ask how far along the car is and tells me it hasn't been started on. I tell him I want the car back and I'm going to take it somewhere that can do the job,oh and I find out they don't even have a WELDER IN HOUSE they take it next door and try to fit it in they schedule. I tel him I am taking the car. I go outside to park my truck someone else and as I walk back he is outside and begs me not to take car, that he will do the job for free. I tell him I don't want a free job I want my car back. he tells me he promises the car will be done for sure that night. I leave and return at 9:30 . he doesnt know what to say, the car is missing. he tells me its inside the neighbors shop locked up and that the welder had to leave for personal reasons . He tells me that he will be in at 10:30 to 11 am Saturday morning. I show up this morning(saturday) to pick up my car they are not there. I go next door and speak to the nice owners of the towing company where my car was left. I walk in and the car is on a lift, they laid out the exhaust route WRONG. I notice my gas cap lid missing. so I walk around the front of the car and notice my fender is bent. I look some more and notice my intercooler is bent out of place, the headlight support is bent, the driver side intercooler silicon hose is ripped and the clamp is missing. here is where I start to lose it and put the clues together. Seems they damaged my from bumper, the impact cause the other damage.

These guys should go back to high school and leave "running" businesses to Adults. Did they not think I would noticed the damage and or the smell of new paint. Im assuming they are having the bumper repaired since its missing the the gas lid is also missing ( typical thing to do when you want to match paint)

I waited there talking to the welder for 3 hrs. he told me they didnt take him the car till after 6pm Friday. I dropped off the car there TUESDAY!

this guy Jamil doesnt know how to run a business nor MAN up and tell the customer what has happened. instead of coming to the shop like he said he just stood me and many customers that drive by. Im sure the police there didnt leave a good impression.

these guys have no communication with customers OR within the business for that matter. How had is it to have a dry erase board and post jobs for every day of the week. And write things down so the customer doesnt have to repeat themselves over and over again.

This whole incident is an embarrassment and a perfect example of how NOT to run a shop. I don't know who gave Jamil the thought that he ran run a shop, but this is becoming more of a joke than a business.

A simple phone call would have avoided this whole problem, you can't just hide this from customer's and expect them to pretend its okay in the end when they find out you just crashed their car and have been hiding it from them.

WE know the car was ran into oil barrels, which was an accident, and accidents do happen. But to lie to a customer and to your own employees is a whole different ball game.

And of course the BRAND NEW $800 JIC front bumper is damaged and missing when I was there. I DO NOT want a repaired bumper .

Ok this is what happened

1. The car was brought in with NO computer for the transmission
2. There is about 2 working brakes on the car
3. The customer advised us that we had to REV the car up to get it into gear.
4. The car was accidently damaged while attempting to bring the car into the shop so it would not be left outside.

Yes I will be the first person to admit that I was wrong for not informing the customer about these damages. Only $320 for the repair and $60 for paint matching we got the fornt bumper fixed. I still don't think you needed to call the police to report you car stolen since I had told you last night in person that the car was locked in and safe on a lift at the welding shop (4612 N. Lois) 30 feet from our bay door. The police did advise us to put a mechanic lein on your vehicle but you know we would not do that because it was our fault. Once again I do apologize for any incovienence with time for the job and the damages. I do hope that we can still do business with the graphic design that we spoke about and I would like to finish your car for you or you can take the car if you like.

HOly shit would I be pissed !!! I dont know if its the same people there still or not. They got my shit fixed for me...took all day, but it was fixed when someone else was given three chances. BTW thats a slam on Andy not Drew. Well, I really hope they take cafe of all that shit for you. It sounds like they had an accident, were probably incredibly embarrassed, and tried to fix it without bringing attetion to it. Lets face it, its not good word of mouth advertising if you hear that a shop damages a car. I like to think that Im a good guy, buy I cant say that I wouldnt try to fix it on the down low too. Maybe not. I guess it would depend on how much was going to comme out of my pocet, or if I had insurance to cover shit like that. They might be covered for that kind of shit you know. BTW...to the guy who slammed him for telling us what happened.....Can you HONESTLY tell us that you wouldnt vent and want to tell everyone about something as fucked up as that? and especially if felt like you were getting the run around, and getting fucked?
