Here is the aftermath from me raping an EFR6258 with my camera.

The EFR series is BorgWarner's latest creation which focuses on all the key ingredients that make a great performance turbocharger without sacrificing durability.

The following turbo is an internally wastegated EFR 6258 with a .64 A/R T25 turbine housing. Great for those of you wanting to run twins - i.e. 2JZ, RB, VQ.






I decided to take some detailed shots which focuses on the new EFR best features.

Let's start off with the Forged Milled Compressor Wheel - these are fully milled from forged aluminum, not your typical bar-stock.

Built-in recirculation valve, covers are available to bypass them if they are not needed.



The adjustable wastegate actuator is mounted onto the back plate to allow the housings to be oriented any way needed for the application.



The compressor outlet is machined in a way that it can be used with both a hose coupler or v-band clamp.



Large wastegate port for higher flow inside of the investment cast stainless turbine housing.







And finally, the fullback Gamma Titanium Aluminide turbine wheel which cuts the inertia by about 50% from your average inconel wheel.



Overall this model would be ideal for use in a twin turbo application due to it's size. I will review one of the larger units once I get one in from BW.
